LAHORE - Additional Chief Secretary Punjab Iftikhar Ali Sahoo said on Tuesday the Prime Minister’s Special Fuel Scheme was progressing successfully across Punjab. In a statement, he said that 2.4 million people had so far registered for the scheme across the province, while more than 2.2 million beneficiaries had obtained tokens and availed themselves of the subsidy. Iftikhar Ali Sahoo said the Prime Minister’s Special Fuel Scheme was being provided at more than 63,000 petrol pumps across Punjab. Various inspection teams were also conducting physical visits to petrol pumps across the province. The Additional Chief Secretary said the entire system for disbursement of the Prime Minister’s Special Fuel Scheme was online.

Banners had been displayed at all petrol pumps to raise public awareness, while help desks had also been established at petrol pumps to facilitate and guide citizens.
