MUZAFFARGARH - The Punjab Chief Minister’s public welfare initiative, “Mayyat Muntaqili Service – Takreem Ke Sath” (Dignified Dead Body Transportation Service), has been officially launched in Muzaffargarh district to provide free and respectful transportation of deceased persons for bereaved families.
According to Media Coordinator Mansoor Ahmed, the inauguration ceremony was held in Muzaffargarh, where Deputy Commissioner Usman Tahir Jappa formally launched the service. Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that the Chief Minister’s initiative marks a significant step towards supporting citizens during one of the most difficult and emotional moments of their lives. He stated that the dignified and secure transportation of a deceased family member is a fundamental need for every household, and the Government of Punjab has introduced this unique welfare service to address that need.

District Emergency Officer Rescue 1122, Obaid Ullah Khan, said that in line with the Chief Minister’s vision, three dedicated ambulances have been provided for Muzaffargarh district under the free dead body transportation service. These ambulances will operate round the clock (24/7) across the district’s three tehsils—Muzaffargarh, Alipur, and Jatoi—offering completely free services to the public. He added that Rescue 1122’s professionally trained teams will ensure the timely, safe, and dignified transportation of deceased persons with the utmost respect and compassion, providing maximum relief to grieving families during their time of loss. At the conclusion of the ceremony, participants appreciated the Chief Minister’s people-centric initiative, expressing confidence that the Dignified Dead Body Transportation Service will become a reliable, respectful, and effective facility for the residents of Muzaffargarh, ensuring timely assistance and compassionate support for bereaved families.
