LAHORE - Pakistan captain Babar Azam and opener Abdullah Shafique were among the biggest movers in the latest ICC Test rankings after impressive performances in the recently concluded two-match Test series against the West Indies, which finished level at 1-1.

Babar, who returned to lead Pakistan in the series, was named Player of the Series after scoring a competition-best 193 runs in four innings. His outstanding display lifted him five places to 10th in the ICC Test batting rankings with 716 rating points, marking his return to the elite top 10. Abdullah Shafique also enjoyed a significant rise after marking his Test comeback with a century in the second Test. The stylish opener surged 25 places to 32nd with 607 points. Among Pakistan’s other batters, Saud Shakeel slipped to 26th, Mohammad Rizwan dropped to 27th, Salman Ali Agha fell to 38th, Shan Masood moved down to 39th, while Imam-ul-Haq slipped to 57th. All-rounder Aamer Jamal climbed one place to 99th. Australia’s Travis Head retained the No.1 position in the Test batting rankings, followed by England’s Harry Brook and Joe Root.
